  1. Hi, I'm extremely excited about this recipe. I love eggplant and I loved the flavor of Korean BBQ from what I can remember from years ago. I'm confused about one thing though- It mentions sesame oil twice. One doesn't have the quantity listed. Is the 1 tbsp for the sauce or the pan? How much do you use for the other? Thanks.

  2. Made this for lunch today.I had it with some leftover takikomi gohan (sans chicken of course) and some momoya chili on top. It was so delicious that two hours later, i literary was drooling just thinking about it and had to finish the leftover I had planned to eat for dinner.

The only thing i did differently was: pan fried with safflower oil instead of sesame oil because the kind that i have at home smoke too fast and eggplant doesn't cook through instantly - well at least how i like it (i have kadoya brand pure sesame oil). Yum yum yum. Thank you Izumi
